While many automakers receive awards for individual models, few are recognized worldwide for their entire brand. Jimmy Vasser Toyota is excited to announce that Toyota is one of those few. Interbrand has once again ranked the automaker as the number one automotive brand in the 2011 Best Global Brands report. In addition, Toyota was rated 11th on the list of top 100 brands overall.
Each Best Global Brand contender is examined in regard to the following three categories: the financial performance of the branded products or services, the role of brand in the purchase decision process and the strength of the brand to continue to secure earnings for a company. Specific to the automotive industry, Interbrand saw a notable amount of growth thanks to an economic revival within European markets, a revival of the auto industry in the U.S. and skyrocketing demand for cars in China.
Other automakers marked the charts for top brand ranking as well, but Toyota remained in the lead with an estimated brand value of US$27.764 bn. The Blue Oval's success is especially remarkable considering the significant road bumps the brand encountered in the recent past.
"Even though Toyota faced both an internal crisis (lack of quality control in 2010) and an external crisis (Japan's earthquake), it forged ahead by focusing on safety and quality, modifying its leadership structure and capitalising on its world-renown green efforts,"1 observed the Interbrand report.
But don't just take Interbrand's word for it. Jimmy Vasser Toyota invites you to test drive a new Toyota model such as the 2012 Tacoma and experience the brand for yourself. We are conveniently located at 466 Soscol Ave Napa, CA. Also, feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
