Toyota Supports Green Efforts in Hollywood

If we are going to see real environmental change over the next few years, it's vital that everyone does their part. That is why Jimmy Vasser Toyota is very encouraged to see key players from two highly-influential industries combining to honor eco-awareness. How did this occur? Last month, Toyota acted as the presenting sponsor of Hollywood's annual Environmental Media Awards (EMA).

For the past twenty-one years, the EMA show has bestowed awards upon television and film productions which promote environmental mindfulness in an innovative and effective way. This year, the EMA winners included the film Yogi Bear and the TV shows, Futurama and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In addition, actor and musician Justin Timberlake, communications executive Marc Nathanson and the Producer's Guild of America receive special, individual recognition for their green efforts.

"It's inspiring to see how EMA links the power of celebrity and the influence of entertainment to environmental awareness," said Dian Ogilvie, Senior Vice President and Secretary of Toyota Motor North America. "We congratulate the nominees and special honorees, and we thank you for continuing to convey environmental messages and actions in creative and influential ways."1

Though Ogilvie and the EMA offered well-deserved praises for Hollywood, the same could be given to automakers like Toyota, which also work to deliver eco-friendly messages in unique ways. Such efforts are seen in models like the 2012 Prius v, 2012 Toyota Camry and 2012 Prius Plug-In, all of which the automaker displayed at the red-carpet event.

If you'd like to test drive the aforementioned vehicles or any other new Toyota models, feel free to drop by Jimmy Vasser Toyota, 466 Soscol Ave Napa, CA 94559 during our regular business hours.
