2001 - 2003 Model - Year Toyota Prius Alert

Jimmy Vasser Toyota could post news only about Toyota innovations, awards, and accolades. But, that's not what we're all about. So we want to make sure you're aware that in early June, Toyota announced a voluntary safety recall of certain Prius hybrid models.

The reason for the recall is so that the Japanese automaker can replace the electric power steering shaft and attachment nuts. The voluntary recall applies to some 52,000 2001-2003 model-year Prius hybrids sold in the U.S. - a total of 100,000 units worldwide.
